Try to join it from General discussion / any other open-for-you-to-post forum on Board index ("root") :)
(or OFC otherwise from a path in which you never click on a folder with a red circle with diagonal line on it)

Same goes with editing your posts on global announcements topics.

I guess it's true for all global announcements ;)
I am not sure if it's true only for those, at least as I don't know this forum system.

Already in the works. pickpak will be the new webmaster for us if all works out well. We have no issues with getting something nicer for people to look at.

I have using 1.8 and try 1.9.
1) Black theme look bad. This is ultimate edition not satanic edition.
2) Start-up sound too loud.
3) 1.9 missing wine.

Anyway ultimate edition is great ubuntu base distro for user without broadband intenet, using dial-up or too lazy install software.

Change it to Bluebuntu.

suraya wrote:2) Start-up sound too loud.

Disable it or change it.

Use the Upgrade Icon on your desktop; or install it yourself using Synaptic.

OS List in users profile

Postby tuxsax » Tue Aug 26, 2008 2:08 pm

Hi admins,
I know it must be hard to keep up with Thee Man and his very frequent releases, but I feel a "cheater" when I have to select in my profile from a list of OSes I'm using and I need to put "Other" because the last releases aren't in the list. ;)
And because I know Thee Man is busy building those great distros, and I prefer him just to keep doing that, the question is if any of you can help him keep the list updated.
So far I see there are some missing, such as Ultimate Edition 1.9 x86, Ultimate Edition 1.9 x64, Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
Perhaps there are some others, I know the list can't contain every linux distro out there, that's what the "other linux" and "other os" are for, but at least the very Ultimate Edition distros and their "parents" (I mean all the ubuntu flavors) should be updated more frequently.

Thanks,
Ziv
