Went to my GF's and loaded a stick with Ultimate Edition 3.4.1 Lite, Ultimate Edition 3.6 and Ultimate Edition 3.7 and used the tool above to attempt building & trashed her current O/S. The aforementioned tool is crap, please do not use it in it's current state. I fixed her permission rights after it trashed them as follows:
Code: Select all
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chown root:root /etc/sudoers
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chmod 440 /etc/sudoers
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chown -R root:root /etc/sudoers.d
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chmod 755 /etc/sudoers.d
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chmod 440 /etc/sudoers.d/*
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chown root:root /var/lib/sudo*
root@tonie-p6823w:/home/tonie/wip# chown -R root:root /var/lib/sudo*

I guess her name would be Tonie. I am posting this for those of you that have witnessed similar issues. I would suggest not using the tool until I have time to address such said issues. See what happens when I forget my wip.txt; the collective thoughts of TheeMahn all in one text file. I should have drug along the jackhammer ;) A slow process when working it from her comp, which btw is no slouch. The lack of a SSD is a true pain. I am sure her cores have never worked so hard a 2.9 GHZ quad core with 12 GB of DDR3-2133. I am going to buy her a SSD, let there be no doubt about it, or rip one of my 90GB SSD's out and give it to her.

I had read this post a few weeks back... but completely forgot about and was searching the whole internet for such scripts along with ubuntu's documentation for LiveCD Customisation. Stumbled upon this when a casper:filesystem/manifest was denied permission.
Some things at the end, during final iso are a bit in diff order but it helped actually.
SO here it is minimal xubuntu...Iso Size -> 450mb (a little more pkgs could be removed though ;) )
