That E17 is nice looking but will have to say that on the laptop would choose LXDE over it since it loads fast! Razor is another one that is fast also and XFCE. XFCE is closer to an E17 as is does have the bottom folder and places! Do also like the icons on the desktop(shows my age I suppose!)but is just something I got used to in all these years. Like a fast click into the folders as usually that is where all my projects and disasters are!!!! At times am just on that and do not care about the internet or anything else! Am really liking the LXDE looks as is easy to find everything! If Gnome is to be a disaster area will just reside in XFCE, LDXE or Razor on the laptop! Just might be too much for it to handle!!! Least those other ones look good and work decent, can not say the same for Gnome 3.8 at this time! E17 is nice looking but do get a little confused and disoriented with it at times. Same goes for KDE. Am just a sucker for seeing it all laid out in front of me!!!!
