Im Running 1.8 X64 With Backports Etc Enabled.I Tried To Install Americas Army (Game) It Was Interupted (My Internet Conn.Went Down).I Tried To uninstall Then Reinstall But It Wont Work.I Need To Know Where The Files Are Downloaded, To(Which Directory) Maybe If I Delete The Archive It,ll Start Over.Any Ideas Would Be Appreciated.

Thanks nick that did it.It seems i may have a video problem(slight) I get a pulse in my "view" Of the game screen only?I also notice this on some screensavers.I think its probably 3D oriented.Im totally new to games.If you have any ideas they will be greatly received.Or any where i might find some help on config.on my hardware(see Below)On board video(New). Thanks

I have not been on the forums until current, the newest version (newer then posted here) is on the repo, If I replace it with -6 it will automatically be updated if you are using our repo.

I do not have time to update every post.

Playdebs repos are appropriately enough only included in the "Ultimate Gamers Edition". Ultamatix does not add their repo whatsoever. Most games come from our repo, not all of them. I may add their repo in the next release. If you select a game to install for example, Ultamatix will add their repo to ensure you get the newest version & remove it after installation of the game.

Hi all.
Did a fresh install of Ultimate Edition 2.0 x86 on my new laptop see sig for pc's details the wifi keeps dropping out so it's a battle on again, off again. The reason I mention the wifi here is tthat I think it's why I have this problem now.

While running Ultimatix it lost connection while getting the restricted codecs. Now when I try and run it I get the following error shown in the pic below.

Just before it switches to this I can see the last line says "broken package".

I have already been to Synaptic which isn't showing any broken packages, and done the

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update

and

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get autoremove

with no change.

I have tried downloading the ultamatix-1.8.0-4_all.deb file from the first post to reinstall it but it says that the version installed is already newer. Pic of the about screen showing version 1.8.0 below.

I don't know if this is related or not but I also get this error whenever I try to gedit anything "Wrong ELF Class" pretty obvious even to me it's for the 64 bit OS and I'm using the x86 32 bit OS on this pc, pic below.

It was a clean install so I have no idea how it did this or how to correct it.

Keep in mind that it refuses to stay connected by wifi and that is my only connection option at this time so I guess I'll have to wait until I get the wifi straightened out before I can d/l the codecs or anything else by Ultamatix right now but I would still like to get it straightened out.

And in case someone wants to try and fix the wifi here although it doesn't belong in this thread. It's a Atheros AR5009 internal and has the ath9k along with the backports modules, kernel 2.26.7-9 and I've already tried every conceivable combination in the modprobe.d/madwifi for blacklisting and un-blacklisting the ath5k, ath_hal, and ath_pci.

It will connect but it wont stay connected. May be 10 seconds might be an hour I just never know. And it's not my router or access point (I'm at a rv park with wifi service) so I can't be messing with that.

Besides the desktop stays connected running Ultimate Edition 1.9 and windows will stay connected on the laptop but I hate even booting windows anymore.

Love Ultimate Editions and all the work everyone has put into them including Ultamatix. 2 BIG THUMBS UP to TheeMahn, Cab, pch.shot and the rest of the crew. Keep up the great work and thanks in advance for any help.

I had problems with ultimatix first time. From synaptic see in the left side the broken packages(deteriorate) and completely remove them,or run in terminal:sudo apt-get install -f.

Broken packages in Synaptic is empty I had already checked that and that command didn't change anything but thanks for trying.
