Toshiba P205-S6673:
Internut button: Works
Pause,play,FF,REW button: works with rythmbox
Fingerprint reader: still needs tinkering
Stock hard drive: works
Hitatchi Travelstar 200G 7200RPM 16MB cache 3Gb/sec :SCREAMS!! <BREW> :o
Webcam : havent tried to get it working yet/ not neccesary

After reading that my hard drive spinns at a pokey 44000 RPM... I decided try and upgrade my hard drive. Well after confiddling around with the included disk to get the hard drive cloned and some tinkering, ( Supergrub) ultimate edition now has Psychic powers its that dang fast YMMV. the difference that 8MB cache and 28K more rotations can add to the spunk of a laptop.

Asus EEEPC, model is 1001P, installed Ultimate Edition 2.5 and SMILED. Most all working perfectly, wireless works with help from ndiswrapper, mike requires a minor tinkering which I have not done yet but many have, and remember this is a 10 inch NETBOOK, no real graphics and tiny processor! The Ultimate Edition team has all the best apps already on the install DVD so the tinkering with new hardware is made simple to do! Any questions about my choice of Ultimate Edition as preferred Distro?? I tried all the tiny downsized ones and found nothing but problems, Why did I even try? I suppose I thought this tiny netbook would not run all the basics of a distribution with powerful graphics capabilities, but it is PERFECT for any machine with newer hardware that may need tweaking, Many thanks to THEE Mann and all involved. <BREW>
