Systemd to replace upstart in 16.04.
Its really good to see Canonical taking a good stance with Ubuntu. It only gets better.

But there is sour mouth experience when it comes to things like Mir. I'm actually happy that they have
pushed Mir into the future, so that devs can work out everything and directly release a solid-stable final version.

A major setback is how to get AMD, NVIDIA to get to support Mir. Wayland support exists with the newer drivers but they(AMD/Nvidia) all look the other way when Ubuntu brings up Mir.

SteamOS already uses Debian as a base and Gabe Newell stating that Linux will become a major(primary) gameplay OS in the future with knocking down Windows(participation and solidarity has already been shown by devs), so I dont see how Ubuntu will benefit using Mir(unless they get AMD/Nvidia etc in bed with them.).
Mir will also require certain level of fine grain compatibility with Wayland...
