Better be happy about the Classic desktop while you can. With 11.10 it will be straight Unity.

Gnome Shell does not blow my skirt up but it is better than Unity by quite a way.

I will have to somewhat dissagree I was testing the x64 last night using the live cd and unity is better than what i thought it would be. Gnome 3 needs alot of attention just to make it work aka work arounds and etc but in anycase its JMO......Ultimate Edition rocks the world folks....

Tested Unity a LOT, still cant stand it lol.

Ill thought out none user friendly interface. Easy to use ? Relatively easy yes, but still not user friendly.

As for classic with 11.10, I knew it was going away and I feel this was a vast mistake. But we always have other desktop environments.

Might just skip the next release till I see another gnome worth righting home about.

Left and had to come back. 11.04...meh, I'll stick with 2.6.1 which I "updated" to 10.10 through the sys. updater. Perfectly happy...but am interested is seeing what 3.0 is going to look like! Anyone know why if you update to 11.04 it removes Ultamatix?

Well, because Ultamatix is designed to work with Ultimate Edition, when you "upgrade" Ultimate Edition you lose aspects of it, including Ultamatix. Incidently I have been trying to add Ultamatix to Xubuntu and it ain't working yet.
