Wow zero posts...

Postby TheeMahn on Tue May 11, 2010 3:28 am

Sorry for the original drunken post ;) I have laid off the sauce for a few days & we have 3 built O/S's. 1 uploaded, 1 uploading and 1 in queue for uploading. I am fairly certain a forth will be built by days end by Bnjamin_breeg (gamers edition). I do have an itinerary.

Lets break this down, done:
  • Ultimate Edition 2.6 Gamers x64 built
  • Ultimate Edition 2.6 Gamers x64 uploaded
  • Ultimate Edition 2.7 x64 built
  • Ultimate Edition 2.7 x86 built
  • Ultimate Edition 2.7 x64 corrupt upload
  • Ultimate Edition 2.7 x64 re-uploaded
  • Ultimate Edition 2.7 x86 uploaded
  • Ultimate Edition 2.6 Gamers x86 & X64 Release
  • Ultimate Edition 2.7 x86 & x64 Released

Current:
  • I no longer want to say ;)

Queue:
  • You don't wanna know

This has not been posted on the homepage, so consider this a heads up of the events in hand. Beta testers / Admin are trying to rip things up ;). I have been very busy, I have taken a day off. My inet connection is slowing the overall progress. From our server to Source forge is only 8 to 10 minutes away once they are all uploaded. ~11 MB/S does wonders, wish I could upload that fast.

I will give Admin / Beta testers 24 hrs. (minimum being discussed) to find issues & then I will unleash the beast. This will not happen until the very least the Queue finishes.

Why is Bnjamin_breeg building Gamers? Well lets lay issues to the curb. He has been coming here for months learning how to build O/S's & has full intentions of building a Ultimate Edition PS/3 style. Did I let the cat out of the bag? ;)

Please be patient, just know good things are coming. Actually let's take this in, as Bnjamin says "we are no longer going to be a speck on the map,nor a blip on the radar."

Damn, breeg is on my ass to correct my posts grammar. Woke up this morning to realize he convinced me last night to make this post global. He is not returning my calls ;)

I've been checking in, just seems to be a slow day here. Been helping Blackwolf out with one on the OZ forum while he's busy. A lot of searching for a solution which I think I found. We haven't abandoned you. Rest that neck, I'm about to do the same.

PS3 will be exclusive & not appear here on our forum, he will have his own forum.

I suggest one of you get on top of it. I will waste no time dragging traffic unheard of not here, but overall. We may shortly be dealing with many a million. Please do not disappoint me. Gamers will do the same, but not in the volume Bnjamin is about to have & the site does not exist right? Buy them up now boys. The link I provide & "news" will put it off the hook.

A PS3 release would knock any system offline, just think about hosting such a release should give any one goose bumps. Press on with the development brother. Couple of days and i'll be back full time ;)

This is correct, Ultimate Edition 2.7 will be basically Ultimate Edition 2.6 with Ultimate Edition 2.7 theme with KDE, XFCE, and LXDE, updated and upgrades pre-installed. User selectable environments.

Even releases solid gnome, odd releases KDE etc.

2.8 will be gnome only for example, but will be meerkat.

Did you see the post Moebius brought to my attention in admin section?

Sony may soon be on the hotplate with US Airforce. Google it I don't have time to reference it. Sorry it is all still busy here. Damn thought I was takin a day off.

I am a newbie to Ultimate Edition but am running 2.6 - I love it bar a few minor issues with old hardware vs drivers.
I am a linux convert since my employer dumped solaris in 2005 and I adopted fedora for our servers but have always supported some flavor of UNIX for years. I just wanted to say that I don't care much for the blue scheme planned for 2.8 but it's just my opinion. Also, whats it take to become a beta tester ? and sure would be great if you could add a login to the home page.

Great product - fantastic group - Amir seems to have all the answers.

Hi K-MAN and welcome to the forum.

There is a discussion going on right now about opening the beta to the public so hang in there things happen pretty fast around here. If it happens a section would need to be setup for it and some organizational planning. As for a login on the home page I'm not sure what you mean ? Here http://ultimateedition.info/ there's no point since it's not part of the forum and is not editable by users.

You can always change the theme to one you like.
