laptop intel video,what do i use

I,ve got an dell laptop with an intel extreme graphics 855 gm, of corse its onboard.
I've been able to load a ati threw envy but it runs the processer 100% all the time.what would the right one be?some suggestions,please.
also I,ve got compiz & awn also. it works ok but as soon as i start anything video intensive it slows way down!! I've cheated so far,looking for the right way.

If you are able to run Compiz at all you are doing better than most people who have similar specs.
Usually with onboard intel graphics you are stuck using the Intel driver installed by default.
If you've got any 3D effects to work you may not be able to do any better than what you presently have.
I know this isn't what you want to hear, Sorry. :(
