I want to use my USB "Memory stick" or "Thumb drive" to transfer files to another PC (Windoze) NOT on the network. The device is seen by HAL as what it is: ScanDisk U3 "Cruzer" 2.0GB, and is shown as /dev/sdd . I cannot access this device. How do I make it accessible? I would have thought it would "auto mount"???

If it is a ntfs flie system you have to go to Applications System Tools NTFS Configuration Tool and enable write support.

I have the same exact thumbdrive works fine once you enable like they posted
