eSATA and AWN panel

Postby dougal » Mon Oct 24, 2011 4:34 am

Doe anyone else have a little problem like I have where when I connect my eSATA drive it will not appear on the Desktop till I open 'Computer' in 'Places'.
I use the AWN panel for most operations and the 'Places' applet for File Management.
If I use any entry except the one for the eSATA drive I can then see the eSATA drive and use it normally but, if I try the eSATA entry on the menu first it does not work.

Okay it is definitely an AWN panel thing because it opens from the Linux Places dropdown menu.

Any ideas folks? Should I ask at the AWN forum?

Cheers.

Mind you this does not explain why it does not appear on my Desktop as an icon when I connect the drive.
