Angel is correct, your system should run quite nicely on Ultimate Edition.
3Ghtz Cpu, 2Gb ram, 64bit, should run sweet.
while you could run either 32bit or 64bit, I think you will find 64bit will be more responsive and a little smoother,
particularly noticeable with the apps that are more processor intensive.
1st Box: Ultimate Edition 2.0 x64/ 1.8 x64
2nd Box: XP (dusty)
3rd Box: Stable Media box Ultimate Edition 1.8 x64 with XBMC

p4 are not 64 bit!!!

Plus I have the same processor in one of my boxes and it runs x64 distros just fine. :D
