I thought you were down in the 20-25 sec. range with the 64-bit install, weren't you? Not that boot time is everything.

Am on the lap with these sots here are the shots of 64 bit...
and when you compare the two the 32bit is faster at least with this lap..a different story with the Tower though..
I will be corrected if I am wrong on most games the 32bit is faster or better than the 64bit...unless the game was written for 64bit from the get go...
And PS..wireless is working on 64 with the Tip from Tib... :)

What are the specifics for the "boot time", meaning, are you saying from the time you press the Power button, until it's ready for you to input your username and password? or what?....and how do I see what my boot time is/how do I speed it up? (I assume using TheeMahn's How-To for tweaking 1.8?).

And I still can't get the expansion slot (PCMCIA) to work under linux....it's not a huge deal, cause I got the wireless working, but would still be nice to have all my hardware working under linux :-P.....then once the PCMCIA slot is working....onto the built-in webcam...eeeheheheee .

Congrat's on the working wireless! Glad my nooby-geek-digging solved our wireless problem :P.
