Grub boot ISO scrambled desktop

Ultimate-Edition 5.5 boots up fine.
When I try to boot the 5.7 ISO, the text scrolls by and when it switches to graphics the screen is comprised of many pink blue and white blocks.
I am using an intel processor with an ATI 8950 "Tahiti" video card (dual GPU).
Any ideas?
