Was going to put this in the rants and raves column but a 4.0 discussion section just appeared.
The first installation left me with a text log on and no gui. The second stopped in the middle showing Retrieving file 151 of 155 for half an hour before I gave up.
4.1 can only be an improvement

It's supposed to run from a hard disk and it won't. I cannot believe this was ever tested. Didn't anyone notice the 3.6 logo on the installation screen?

So far it isn'r worth the price of the disk it was burned on

I just wanted to get the release behind me, I run Ultimate Edition 4.0 at home and works nearly flawlessly. I'm sorry for the issues that plauge you. I would not get too excited about Ultimate Edition 4.1 either. My main and major focus lies in the release of Ultimate Edition 4.2 and Ultimate Edition 4.3. I highly suggest waiting on the release of Ultimate Edition 4.2 or Ultimate Edition 4.3 if you are a KDE man both will be Long Term Supported (LTS) releases. Of course there is nothing wrong with running any of the releases live. I have condenplated on just working with LTS's The release cycle Ubuntu has selected is something to be desired to put things litely. I have alot of projects going on simotaneously, when tmosb hits the net you can build your own Ultimate Edition 4.0. I'm beting better then I did and I am not a betting man. ;)

Here's a tidbit piece of information for you. Open the terminal in Ultimate Edition 4.0 and type tmosb. It is older then I currently possess. Consider this post an Easter Egg from TheeMahn, most people will never know it is there ;)

Unless you are comfortable re-installing the Operating System, I suggest not using it at this point. It was put there for the brave testers. I love tools under the hood.
