I know everyone feels it is my job to fix bugs. I love to do so when those bugs are of my doing. I do not take any enjoyment in fixing bugs that Ubuntu has made.

I have in the past cruised over to launch pad to not only report a bug, but instruct them how to correct the issue. To be returned with great cynicism. I have contemplated skipping the releases of 3.6 through 4.0. The build of 3.8 finally started falling into place. I do not know if you gentlemen know this or not but I built a Ultimate Edition 2.6.8, a blast to the past when things just work. Will be pushing it to the server today. I have had requests for resurrecting 2.7. We shall see.

Yes 3.6 3.7 are not what I was hoping for, but who am I to complain. You do this for US, and do not charge a thing especially for the countless hrs of your own time, you put into it.. I do appreciate your work, and look forward to your next release.. I have tried to learn a lot about Linux and what it has to offer over windows.. Lately I have been having nothing but issues with windows, and in the near future plan of dumping it period for a stable Linux distro preferred Ultimate Edition..

It needs a women's touch :D

It does have the "Ultimate Edition Female Theme" installed. The better half helped create. I would call that a womans touch ;) My Gimp skills are evidently subpar if you feel the wallpaper is bland. It may change prior to release. I never claimed to be an artist. I do have talents in other departments. Perhaps I should leave artistry work to the graphic artists.

If you are looking for stable look no further.

probably sticking with 3.4.1 or 3.4.2 for now... Rebooted into 2.6.3 and remembered how smooth that was, if the new ones can match that I will be happy

Bill, I believe that was Meister that ran the poll and maintained the results. Wallpaper contest I believe is what he called it. If you would like to volunteer by all means, just make damn sure I have the link to the end results, prior to release. If you wish to do so, I would start it at Ultimate Edition 3.9 as I don't have any artwork for 3.9 yet. If you provide me the link I can drop a post on main.

I believe he invited people to contribute thier artwork added the images to the initial post and created a poll Wallpaper #1, #2 etc.

Have you seen Ultimate Edition 2.6.8?

That is sad, then I was fortunate to get it down :D

Tested 2.6.8 live and looked very cool, though there is some sadness to report here also, as no wired or wireless

connection on Laptop, even with some fiddling that usually gets a connection, so might get out the old C2Quad
Desktop and give it a go later on. :voyant

Thee...thanks again for the share. <BREW>
