Yes you can see I also have a Seagate, but is just a 1tb. Am sure the tools are the same and it goes by quick. I loaded up my 3rd OS, was not right so had to move back to my 2nd. 2nd just froze on load so once I did the 5 min erase, went right back and loaded the 2nd back up from flash drive and was up and at in about 20 minutes. These Linux OS's leave a residual behind and some times they catch the OS going in and stop it! Have seen it a few times. Windows too! I figure somewhere around 3 or 4 loads with an OS should do this. Otherwise the checkmark in format suffices when loading. Best to always set what filesystem you want! Automatic is not always the best choice! Hope this helps, if not post back one of us will get you there!

Theemahn has admitted, this is not his best work. This is the first OS he has built using debootstrap. You are not alone in the problems you face. He's working on a newer more rigid base.
In the meantime try passing a few parameters(you already might have) at boot time in grub like:
nomodeset
ACPI=off
Another ugly method would be to try and boot from Ultimate Edition flash disk but at the same time put in your similarly(Ultimate Edition 3.6) burnt dvd-rom in the drive. It should start searching for a cd/dvd and pull in contents from there.
Return to Ultimate Edition 3.6
