Ultimate is part of Ubuntu that is part of Debian that is part of GNU/Linux. Mostly Ubuntu though..12.04 to be exact on 3.5, 3.4, 3.4 Lite, and 12.04.2 for 3.4.1 as it is in testing.

Text is determined largely by your OS..meaning it is Ultimately your Ultimate Settings that affect this. If you are using KDE this is a super-easy fix..systemsettings-->application appearance-->colors-->colors.

You can also change your firefox theme through add-ons. This is where you have your choice of spellcheckers and the "OMG that's so awesome!" add-ons such as killjasmin and Media Stealer(shhhh..it steals media, don't tell anyone)

Sometimes I still have issues with Flash..no matter what I do, no matter how hard I try..and I resort to Opera

Code: Select all
wget -O - http://deb.opera.com/archive.key | sudo apt-key add -

Code: Select all
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://deb.opera.com/opera/ stable non-free" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opera.list'

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install opera

Sometimes I need a little less resource

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install midori

Sometimes I need a lot less resource

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install netsurf

SeaMonkey and Iceweasel are both versions of Firefox although with varying amount of function and resource, typically on a Debian OS I use IceWeasel, but I always have a Firefox-Nightly around because I don't really need to install it..for upgrading I can just toss the whole lot and grab a new one.

You also have Chromium installed, and the option to install Chrome. If you really want to, you can use Internet Explorer through Wine, but not the latest version generally.

Ok did the add on thing for spell checker and it still won't check. Plus I changed the text color.. I also installed Opera and yes I finally did see chrome. Thanks for the help.. Now If I want to install seamonkey what commands do I use? I'm still trying to learn all this linux stuff even after having it installed for almost a yr. LOl. I have been busy with lots of work plus dealing with a disabled and sick spouse, and haven't really had much time to learn.. Hint is why I haven't been on here in such a long time..

To install SeaMonkey

Go Here

http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

Download The English US Version, or whichever, but choose the one that has the Penguin for Linux.

If you extract this straight to home, it will create a seamonkey folder, but you can extract wherever...

Open the Folder and choose seamonkey.
