Micro, thanks for pointing the fact of ram out! At times I forget that point! Huge thanks for the compliment and will say everyone's professionalism on here is above reproach! Is why I enjoy it here so much! Have to add to the Haiku post that have to make sure you are pointed in the proper directory when uploading a picture! Haiku is quite functional and amazingly precise. Reboot timed around a minute on VBOX. This most likely translates to 2 minutes on a real device. Have been there with Haiku 3 on the hard drive dual boot with Windoze! So know the timing for a fact!

Love looking at other OS's developmental stages is very interesting! The USB flash as I have set up really impresses me greatly and will keep investigating it thoroughly as I believe it one day can be enhanced even more than it is at present! Is an awesome time to live in with such great minds and advances! I look forward to doing my part as soon as I am able to figure more out! Always thanks for being there and helping me think and gather ideas.

can use disk utility for benchmarking drives .....even ramdisk's
write speed's can be checked on a raw drive ---with no filesystem on it.
from terminal or run you can type:
#palimpsest

Thanks very very much Pam!!!! I have not felt so good on a forum or welcome since the Napster days! Yeah is a strange comparison, but I sure miss it! Napster mean more to me than a place to get hard to acquire mp3's!!!! Enjoyed people on there very very much as I do here!!! Still I do wish there was something left such as another site I had found a few years ago called High Quality MP3! I was also able to acquire many cds that were only printed for a short time! Is a shame the industry considers some not worthwhile to print more than so many copies. It leaves some of us that enjoyed the older rock n roll without the chance to own! Is one fact the industry does not take in to account! I wish they would understand that fact and put those online, since they no longer want to print them! Anyway is great to have a forum to enjoy and the best Operating System to boot!!! Can't ever beat this situation! Thanks always. Now is back to the homework! Oh joy!
