Ultimate Edition 3.5 Wont Install

Ok reinstalled again, and this time it worked (well sort of). After it asked me to reboot, all I get now is a very distorted screen nothing else. All I can do now is reboot and go back into windows.. Another problems seems to be during install it does not seem to support my existing usb wireless card which is a Netgear A6200 any suggestions? I figured if it supported my card, I could go ahead reinstall again, but download updates in the process..

All hope is not lost. Have you gotten the disc to run live? Here you can set up wireless prior to install. Often with Netear it is not much of a problem. Click on the wireless icon in the panel and see if your network(s) is/are available. If not you may need to go through the windows wireless drivers ndiswrapper program. I, like Micro, am ever so curious as to how you are installing in regards to partition set up.

But can you get into a tty?

IF you can, download the nvidia-drivers from the link i sent from windows and install it via the tty terminal.

All right I just tried to install the nvidia drivers in terminal, but with no luck. Reboot and still have a distorted screen.. I'm about ready to throw in the towel.. I have spent half my day off, and still can't get this done..

Im sorry to say but this might just be a buggy driver problem from nvidia for linux ...
I wouldnt know if it helps but you can try installing older legacy drivers:

I'm going back to 3.3 that is the only one that worked.. I wish I could add the nvidia drivers to the install disk then reburn it, but I'm sure that is impossible..

This was what I originally found, I just thought the other one might help more. It really sounds like the exact same problem, and the word pray is mentioned several times.

Well Well Well, finally got this thing to insatll, using Xan link. After two fail attempts it finally took.. Now I need to know this. What is the best way to update if any? How to keep my wireless connection to stick, instead of having to set it up each time, I get loged in. Finally how to make my bluetooth work correctly.. Everytime I choose the option to trusk activate it never sticks for my mouse. So I have to use a wired mouse to use this system.. Thaks for all the help and continued help, you guy/gal rock..

Forget the mouse issue, that was simple LOL...
