No need to reinstall to get KDE, just apt-get install kde-full in #terminal on OZ. Then you can right click on menu and edit what you would like to show in menu bars. But setting up another acct on your linux box is a good way to keep two desktop environments from displaying both gnome and kde software. Just edit them appropriately and they will remain unique.
