Welcome aboard, d4rkkn16ht. My source is always posted openly, if you prefer to send me any modification of it It will be greatly considered & appreciated. If you prefer to take it and make it better for your own purposes this is alright as well. We sure could use your talent.

I am unsure if it will work with your hardware there is very little time for me to keep up with what does / does not work, try it from the live DVD and test to ensure your hardware is working prior to installation is all that I can suggest. Once again welcome aboard.

Best regards,

TheeMahn

that theme is SICK :) i love the way the bottom title bar (i think thats what its called) buttons look in the first screenshot. very smooth. that wallpaper is great too. the texture gives it lots om character in my opinion. keep up the good work :)

i am curious as to what invironments will be included though. just gnome or are you thinking of adding kde xfce enlightment window maker ect like you did with 1.5?

As with all prior releases there is an initial release a 1.2 if you will, loaded with apps this will be your 1.6, followed by 1.6 Gamers and finally 1.7 which is KDE etc. Alot of work is involved leading up to the 1.7 release as was with 1.3 (edgy based) / still leading the way as far as the raw amount of traffic it has seen.

Most help that I will need will be involved in Bash, I will post my source as it is in work openly... I will create a main tread "Programming" just for this reason, where you as well as others can provide input / code.

I am going to try and break down how releases work:

[*] Ubuntu releases a final (I will build off beta only for my own proposes) in this case Gusty Gibson (always built from a "Stable" release).

[*] I build / rebuild adding modules stepping back to a prior builds if necessary until all software is there and perfection is met.

[*] 1.6 is released

[*] This step has never been there prior but feel it is necessary to understand, I build the script to allow users of 1.4+ to upgrade this has zero or close to no effect on a 1.6 user.

[*] Using 1.6 I build adding A slew of games it is tested once perfection is met 1.6 Gamers is released.

[*] Using 1.6 not Gamers I build what will be 1.7 adding KDE, XFCE etc.

[*] Tested / released

[*] 1.8 Will be Happy Harry based distro or whatever Ubuntu deems to codename it.

thats for sharing your process with me and everyone else. i always was curious about how you went about it/what kind of release schedule you had. very informative. its alot more work than i though. well i knew it was alot of work to begin with but just more than i even thought. if you need any help testing anything just let me know. cant do much currently as 2 of my 3 boxes are down. should be back up in few weeks though (windows, main linux and a test box). so ill have no probs lending a hand even if it requires reloading my test box often. im used to it. cheers :)

p.s. keep up the good work. your a great man. doing all this hard work. you deserve a big pat on the back.

p.p.s. next ubuntu is Hardy Heron LTS. just thought id drop that one :)
