I have this version loaded on two of my systems and they are having errors in updating software.

Says there are software updates but they won't load them.

Failed to load the package list
E:Malformed line 4 in source list /ect/apt/sources.list (URI)

any way to get this distro working?

If you

Go to etc/apt and open the sources list(sources.lst) with an editor, then

Code: Select all
Ctrl+a

Code: Select all
Ctrl+c

then open this thread and post, first clicking on the button that says "Code", then
Code: Select all
Ctrl+v

and can then go from there.

Example
Code: Select all

My best guess is that 4.3 is built on an Ubuntu Version that no longer has support.

It looks like you are trying to update with CD and repos, I would go through and comment out where it says cd.

This can be done by going into this area with an editor in root. Since this has KDE, it is probably easiest to use Terminal
Code: Select all
sudo dolphin
and navigate to sources and open with an editor, to comment out, insert a # at the beginning of the line and save. Then after run update and see if it catches.

To be honest I was having massive issues with these repositories myself and gave up I think, but this was more related to my internet connection and running keysnatcher while I was having connection issues.

You could also try running keysnatcher and see if that clears it up.

I will try to search down the drive that this is on, you can probably make the adjustments through the software updater as well.
