links from Thunderbird opened to Ultimate Edition page[SOLVED]

Postby konwal » Tue Sep 09, 2014 9:16 pm

Every time I click on a link in an email (Thunderbird) Firefox start/open but the Ultimate Edition homepage appears ... not the link I clicked on.
Opening a saved HTML page opens 2 pages in Firefox, one to Ultimate Edition.

The solution below does not work, as it only relates to a page opening(Firefox):

Unfortunately, I can not remember which specific value (bold) I had to change, but successfully resolved the issue.
These are the results in my version allowing to open links in the browser direct from Thunderbird emails.
Are yours the same?

Code: Select all
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.file default boolean false
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.ftp default boolean false
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http user set boolean true
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https user set boolean true

just a small glitch but would like it to be solved. Thank you.

Well, I'm happy to say I've solved the problem! In the Preferred Applications window-Internet, the web browser was set to About ultimate Edition  .
Changing it to the Firefox Web Browser provided the cure. Easy... :D
How it got set that way, I have no idea.
