Thanx for the help Joker but someone else beat you to the punch and I now have a good copy of 4.2. I installed it to one of my test computers
(an HP a1210n vintage 2005 with 1gig of ram) usually if I have success with that installation, I can install to any of the others I have. BTW it installed flawlessly with no errors and am using it now with this post. And to TheeMahn again as always "kudos" for one of the best "betas" I have ever installed. Thanx so much for all the hard work and dedication. And thnx to the one who I got the .iso from.

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback, sorry about the issue with copy. It has been dropped to sourceforge until I can get copy's situation rectified.

I tried to change my screen saver using the second screensaver option on the list. Every time it woke from a screen saver from that list, it gave me an error message saying that the screensaver was not compatible or broken. I don`t know if this is a problem because the screensaver keeps working after I close the error message.

That will be fixed prior to release. Mate in thier infinite wisdom feel mate-screensaver is a "REQUIREMENT" for mate. I have reverse engineered many of thier packages in the past, I am not above doing it again

want to thank's Thee for a great job for this 4.2 it's run flawlessly on my I3 intel did get the new Iso files and every thing is what it should be and better like Mate prefer cinnamon for De but the way Thee does mate it's beautiful just want to mention that I try the ISO on a usb stick with Unetboothing and usb writer it did not work on this Iso of Ultimate 4.2 but the dvd work great tho, so Thanks A lot TheeMan for a great Os for sure ,will for sure in a few week donate again ,a few weeks because live on SS so hard a bit ,thank you much.Ray

You are welcome Ray, I am glad you like it and that you took the time to say so. I have had quite a few requests for Cinnamon based Ultimate Edition, Mate and Cinnamon do NOT play well together. Maybe I can cut one of each. I get tmosb working in full swing probably 30 minutes build time for each, by hand sucks

Again thank's TheeMan for this beautiful Os(Ultimate Edition it's been my favorite of all among 100"s I try and i got 7 other on this drive) and did installed cinnamon 2.0 instead of Mate it's okay run fine but the way you got Mate installed in this 4.2 Os maybe Mate is better,it look better i wish i could give you a screenshot of this ciinnamon 2.0 Desktop De of Ultimate edition 4.2 I got installed but some how am not allow to upload Attachment it's kept saying Invalid Image well Any way A Big Thank's again.Ray.(this is the error=Screenshot from 2014-04-10 12:40:22.png is an invalid filename.)

Thank Blackwolf but now i get =The extension is not allowed. maybe file to big it's said 2.3 magabytes and i change file name to just Screenshot and when i change to a different file i get this :

Image file type mismatch: expected extension png but extension jpg given.

There are going to be repo issues, as in there will be a conflict using apt-get to apply towards that which would be on the Ubuntu servers..sooo, need to add repos and hope for the best. The problem is dependencies, we can get sources...

Sorry for the late reply I got sidetracked by problems reinstalling 3.5.1

The reboot and sutdown code works and I am working on scripting it so that I don't get the dialogue box asking if I want to run it, run it in a terminal etc, just click on the desktop icon and move on. How do I put a password in a bash file?

where do I put the password?

Electricsheep and Mate appear to be going in different directions..

Package electricsheep is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
flam3:i386 flam3

Nothing happens when I click on System > Preferences > ACYL icon theme but this is of no consequence since I already have my theming largely sorted.

Other than the above 4.2 beta is every bit as good as promised.
Let me rephrase that.
It's Ultimate Edition the way it was, would have been without unity, and always will be. It's what made me forget ubuntu back around 10.04.
If it were possible to donate without using paypal I would.
