Terminal issues after reinstalling Ultimate Edition

Terminal issues after reinstalling Ultimate Edition

Postby Klaatu2 » Tue Dec 23, 2014 10:21 am

Since reinstalling Ultimate Edition 4.2, terminal seems to have some serious issues. Mainly, I have been trying to install Citrix ICAClient by double-clicking the setupwfc file. This would normally bring up four options with 'run in terminal' being one of the options. Upon clicking this option, the program (script????) should run. This does not happen. Instead, I get a momentary opening of the terminal display and it closes without running the program.

The only thing different about this installation is that I checked the 'encrypt the home folder' box. Suggestions?

Have you tried changing Caja's settings in Edit->Preferences->Behavior->Executable Text Files to "Ask each time"? Some executables run on their own by default when they should be running in the terminal, and that briefly appearing terminal window is the result, I believe.

That box is already checked. Thanks, though.

Maybe you should try the .deb file they provide instead?
