Im stepping out, Im a newbie to linux and I have installed Ultimate Edition 4.2 Lite iv been playing around with it for several weeks now and relly love allot more than windows . Synaptic Package Manager is a great addition making it very easy to download app,s and plugins. But It will not find The new Kernel 3.17.2 and Im wanting to use the terminator window to find this kernel and install it .This a scary thought for me as I dont know the lanuage well enough to do this change. Would someone be kind enough to give me step by step commands. And once this is installed will the old kernel package need to be uninstalled ? Iv seen Youtube video's on this subject but I dont trust the source . Here Theeman looks over our post for and Im sure would not allow inaccurate info to be posted. Any help would be greatly appreciated 8-)
