ok i DL ed the gamers 3.0 and tried to run it in live mode 1st, no joy, tried to install directly with no joy at reboot. i got the login screen prompting for username/ password. inputted the right details to be returned to login screen. huh. tried to reinstall and now wont reboot at all? is this going to be an issues for 3.0 in general? hope not.

What is your system specs, did you burn the dvd at slowest speed? the more information you can give the better we can try and sort your problem.

asus m4a78 delux MB, amd dual core 6000+ chip, 4 gig ddr2 ram @800 Mhz. 5oo gig hdd.
burnt dvd at slowest speed. ok what other detail do you need here?? thanks for prompt reply

how to boot gnome rather than KDE is the next task for me, ive downloaded gnome via synaptic. cheers

Gamers is XFCE not Gnome or KDE

gnome isn't in the PPA,s

If you want Gnome your on the wrong OS guy.
