Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8 and Ubuntu Unity question

The question is is it safe to install Ubuntu Unity in Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8? that's really the only part of Ubuntu I'd like to keep, but Ultimate Edition Gamers has a lot more that I'd like. so I'd like to know if it's safe to install in Ultimate Edition in general, as in, will I lose any of the Ultimate Edition stuff?

If you wish to run unity in your Gnome desktop see this http://www.webupd8.org/2011/01/run-unit ... er-in.html BUT as usual If at anytime an install or upgrade tells you wants to remove ANY Ultimate Edition applications abort the install and or upgrade !
But to answer your question you can install the "unity" window manager with out any ill effect as unity is just another window manager !
