frostwire & limewire

Postby madhatter » Mon Feb 15, 2010 11:32 pm

i have Ultimate Edition 2.4 gamer installed on my dell demension 4700 pent 4,3.0 ghz, 1.5 ram and with either frostwire or limewire i have the same problem. I can not play any of the music files i download from either frostwire or limewire on the player in each of them...yet frostwire works fine on my powerbook G4 1.67 ghz ppc and limewire plays fine in windoze xp ( dual boot ). I tried the uninstall and reinstall both of them...i don't have either one installed at this time and yet i have about 40 frostwire files and about 80 limewire files that are still on my computer ... I noted that when i re-installed these programs that they restarted like they were not removed ... the library of the downloads was restored. I removed them using synaptic and did a complete removal...yet the files remained... Has anybody else had problems using the player after downloading...also i use Amarok and rhythmbox and the music i downloaded does not show up in either player...maybe they would play that way...how do i get them from frostwire library to Amarok to see if they would play ? Thanks one and all...

Hey madhatter, do you get an error box when trying to play the tunes in frost wire player ? also go to your home folder find frostwire folder saved or shared folders, play them from there, Is there an error "file to big" if you uninstall frostwire through synaptic, it will just remove the operating program, you must delete the frostwire folder in your home folder manually. :ugeek:
