I recently tried something that was against my better judgement...but it work to get the internet...i booted up Ultimate Edition and after it was booted...I pulled the power cord, counted to 10 and pluged it back in ...hit the power button and watched the pci netword card light up...sure enough,i was internet ready...did some updates...re-booted back into Ultimate Edition and again, everything worked fine...boy was i happy...however that did not last long. i shut it down and re-booted in windoze, opened a few things to check that i was internet ready there also...which i was...than i shut it down and re-booted back to Ultimate Edition...no internet...I tried all the internet connections/edit...still no internet...the light on the pci card was off...So i pulled the power cord as stated above and it worked...back on the internet...Anybody have any answers to whats going on with this thing?

madhatter ,

cell say it right, just you will have to reset your BIOS with the jumper, then work with LAN.
and add from Ubuntu tweak the source for playonlinux and Refresh.
If you had all the needs from the playonlinux you should have network working.
If you don't use the KDE KnetworkManager and configure it right.

O.K my Friend, here is step by step for you to follow.

now if you work with LAN that is easy to set your connection.
go with your mouse to the up top icon of the network and right click on the Icon,
here is what you need to do:

If you will want to configure the Hidden network (Wireless) left click:

now lets go for the process that you have to do with your modem/router.

1- log in to your modem/router with- user=Admin-pass=Admin.
Then look for the option of server DHCP+make sour that you configure to get Auto IP.
Restart your machine after the changes of the modem he will Reboot.
Then you must have working LAN connection.

If not please let us know.

I am experiencing same thing. No internet after install of gamers 3.0, can only find drivers for windows versions, none for linux. Need: INTERNET DRIVERS FOR Dell Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n WLAN mini Card. Considering just installing Ultimate Edition ultimint instead now....but, can't w/o internet access. Someone has to have the drivers w/auto exec out there to download to jumpdrive.
