Hello everyone.

Here is Playonlinux HOW TO

To Allowed the software to be installed in your system.
open Ubuntu tweak-Third-Party-Sources.
Mark Ubuntu Tweak the upper one of the 2=>refresh.
After the Source was added =>close Ubuntu Tweak.
Open Terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update

then=>

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get upgrade

.
close Terminal and go back to Ubuntu Tweak=>Third-Party-Sources=>look for Playonlinux.
Mark Playonlinux=>down right Refresh=>when pop up come-Mark the Playonlinux in the pop up.
Now after the procees end ,close Ubuntu Tweak=>go to Games=>Playonlinux.

The first step will be the automatic update to the fonts.
In the window go to Install=>Internet.
After the update of fonts,First step Install Internet explorer 7.
Then when you end with the Internet explorer 7 =>Then go first to the last option=>Other.
In other=>install NET Framework 2-mark the Internet explorer and Install.
Then install DirectX-mark the Internet explorer......

In that way Install all that you need to get the Games going for you.

With Jaunty repository

sudo wget http://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_jaunty.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

With Intrepid repository

Code: Select all

sudo wget http://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_intrepid.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

With Hardy repository

Code: Select all

sudo wget http://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_hardy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

Check to see what version of wine works with the game in question,and use it in your wine "bottle".

Hi,I have a problem and I wonder if someone can help me.When I'm going to install Internet Explorer 7 (from PlayonLinux) a message says : Unable to find the version 1.1.18.What sould I do?
(I'm using Ultimate 2.3 gamers edition)

Hello xarispgs .

1- update/upgrade the system from Ubuntu Tweak.
2-update/upgrade the system from Synaptic.
3-update/upgrade the system from terminal.
4- upgrade your Ubuntu Tweak from the Third Party(forst top one of the 2).
5-add the wine too from Ubuntu Tweak.

Hello everyone - The solution From my test on the Israeli Forum.




The following guide will give is your solution for installing Windows system software,
games, and most importantly support.
Well the main problem is the base of the system32 gathered the DLL of the software - wine +Playonlinux .
For it is obvious is your can not get the directory system32 advance windows system for you .
Why?
Well, copyrights, and all related rights in windows system.
So how to actually find the solution (Assaf and my common topic)?

Here for you the steps to prepare to absorb any topic and artwork installations and support software,
games to work.

1 First of all wine - have configure the software, allow the all sound options of the software.

2 - Then, go to a directory of wine under the system is the system32 ,
Here we have to copy the system32 directory from the windows disk .
"I want to believe and trust that you have a valid copy of Windows XP system to prevent crimes on"!
So you copy all the files+ DLL files from the folder of system32 .
Now paste the entire contents into system32 in wine - system32 ,
And confirm the file replacement double!

3 - After the exchange, the system basically is a system32 of Windows,
that is the basis for windows.
What would give us the support and backup for all these steps with the wine.

4 - At this point we have finished the part of the software / emulator wine.

5 - now go make all preparation software / emulator Playonlinux .
First the Installation Guide.
Advisable to carry out the process when Windows disk is in the drive / DVD.
To get some files on the part of the installation process as necessary,
plug ins you will need to insert the disk/DVD Drive.

6 - installations, install DirectX , Support -NET Frame Wear , fonts , Flash player (download from the site and installation),6-7 browsers ,all in the Guide.
I suggest to overcome obstacles to also download and install Java on Playonlinux .

at the end you need to install the player 10 media player with the disk in the Drive this will end successfully.

7 - After you have installed all the support you need to check on Playonlinux the Library subject system32 ,
