Enable wobbly windows/Desktop cube in KDE 4.10.x

Enable wobbly windows/Desktop cube in KDE 4.10.x

A Quick Way:

Once logged into KDE do this:
Press ALT+F2
In the dialog type 'desktop'.
A drop down list appears--- now click on desktop effects.

Next, go to Advanced, in 'compositing type' change from Xrender to OpenGL. Click on Apply.
Now go to the 'All Effects' tab somewhere on top. Scroll down and enable whichever animation you want....desktop cube/animation/wobbly windows/slide/explosion etc etc.
There is even a choice to show kwin FPS just like in compiz.

NOTE: For these animations to work, you will need to install proprietary graphics drivers for AMD/NVIDIA. Open source gallium(nouveau/radeon) 'may' not work with opengl. I see no problems with Intel video, they have the best drivers, unless you are using Ivy-bridge/haswell.

Arch and KDE have gone hand in hand for a while, but what a long process, so it is cool to have Chakra!

Thought I would say, for Wobbly Windows, it is safe to max it out here, it does not do the..thing...it does on Compiz when you do this. I'm not sure how to describe it, and in relation to the Desktop Cube

While you can activate the "cube" no problem, some systems, like mine :(, can not handle the sphere and cylinder effect.

And now, the completely true facts, as told by an anonymous man hiding behind a screen name:
