So basically, if you do not have KDE this will install the latest version. If you have KDE this should upgrade it to the newest version, although you will still have your settings in place and the method isn't quite ideal, and there is a chance of system breaking bugs.
If you have not used KDE, prepare for heartbreak, and plasma crashes. However, if you can get the hang of it, there isn't much you can not do by way of customization.
Something to keep in mind, when you are altering system effects, it can freeze your system. For effects to take place, you must be prepared to log in and out often.
If your system freezes, be patient, try to get back into systemsettings and set back to default, so it is probably not the best idea to activate as many effects as possible at once, because you will have issues narrowing down what caused the issue.
