don't get me wrong..I am all about the 64..I just think we should step back and not let Microsoft force us there.

If Samsung and Amazon have taught us anything, it is to not (to emphatically mess) with Google. Google is named after a very large number. Best not to (emphatically mess) with them. The original Google Nexus is still about the most awesome thing you can get your hands on though. After that would be the Motorola Droid and then the geeks dream in a box HTC EVO. Is the HTC ONE X the answer to combining the Android and common Linux experience? NO. To me that is like..getting a super awesome portable computer that kind of does....wow! and turning it into a uhhhhhhh

I'm so close to just buying a whole bunch of Chinese Android knockoffs just to get my hands on cheap SOC to see where I want to go with that. Yeah, I can use my Androids, I have enough, but I was more interested in remoting the SOC with those than reprogramming phones. Mainly, I am not sure where I want to invest in my PC. I have no interest in buying any more video and sound cards. HDD either unless it's straight RAID.

Yes..definitely there pc...but in what way? RAM is not determined by it's place on a motherboard. I mean..it is..but, not how I wish to utilise it. That sounds confusing..I mean to use ssd for it's purpose. Maybe. I wish I could think in words lmao. Ugh, see what no education will get ya?

"x64 is misleading. The x86_64 still uses the underlying architecture and instruction set of the original Intel 8086. [wikipedia.org]. Changing the name to x64 would imply the instruction set is different from that of x86 - and while the instruction set has been extended it still (as far as I know) still support the instructions designed in the 70s."

this is kind of what i mean...its just...aaargh

Would it be totally awesome to have Ultimate Edition 3.5 on my android.. I can install regular ubuntu but it doesn't even come close to Ultimate Edition.. I would love that.. I can just imagine, Gnome on my droid with the compiz fire effects and all of the Ultimate Edition goodness right on my phone.. One day maybe...

Won't fit on my screen with my Philips, I can SSH of course, but that's not the direction I want to take at the moment. Going to run with Arch instead, just have to take a day off for the installation...maybe two.

However...I have gotten some theming from Ultimate set on Gnome Classic through Bodhi. I am thinking that if I can get a decent quad ARM I am going to be able to make miracles. Still, it is an emulation at heart, but I guess I will just have to live with it. I kind of get the impression Canonical is just waiting to see what everybody else does with ARM(DEBIANDEBIANDEBIAN) and then copy and set it up for Amazon.

Honestly though, I keep coming to the conclusion that Ubuntu is an extra step.
