PNG and Kolour Paint the Theme Saver!

PNG and Kolour Paint the Theme Saver!

Everyone knows have been at total war with the gtkrc! As the battle rages on, I came up with a strategic manuever! See am terrible with words when it comes to programming at times. So I remembered the old addage: "A picture tells a thousand words!" In my case is png's and Kolour Paint an awesome program that comes from KDE that just always works and does it right! Everyone knows how I have this hangup on white and black and poor looking, cheap looks! Today spent some time, once again with what is to be the final version of Black Beauty, called Black Beauty III. Is my pet theme as so much change was brought in to sway from the same old dismal black and white looks of themes in this genre. In the past 2 versions I was plagued with terrible looks in LibreOffice. Today that has been conquered! Still many things to go, but for now here is a sneak peak of things to come. Hopefully others will agree, this is the best that can be done in Black! Without further adue here it is:

Thanks a lot is great to hear that!!!! Things are looking up for this new version as is very close to completion! Was going to color more svg's but the size is getting a bit large and do not want to run the risk of Gnome Looks not uploading it. Had to convert a few pieces to png to reduce size. Loads of pngs in gtk2.0 but if you want a certain look, I guess this is what it takes! Am hoping people will enjoy it. If they do not well then maybe some of the colored pieces will be nice for themes they wish to create. Personally, I do not boot to any other theme at present! It looks decent on LXDE, XFCE , Gnome and now Cinnamon 2.0! So am good with it, now just comes a few once overs to make sure all is correct! That is always the fun part!!!! For the first time in all the themes I have made all scrollbars minus Chrome go through the color changes from red, amber to green! Text coloring is on the money! No black text except on the desktop under the icons! Of course no white text either! As I always say R.I.P to those colors for text! Not reading a newspaper am on the computer! I did get a little excited on Gnome Looks when I saw a few other themes besides mine move out of black and white, but there are not many at all! Wish TheeMahn would do text coloring, but seems he just enjoys black and white! Otherwise, I always liked themes he had for Ultimate, just got dragged out with the text color! There are others out there too, that feel this way but not a lot! Seems most love looking at newspapers! Anyway thanks very much for your compliment is deeply appreciated! Also inspires me to keep creating these themes!!!!

Under Rants and Raves did a small post. See had to rename it Adwaita Black Beauty III just so people could use it with Cinnamon 2.0. Also why I did one on that. Cinnamon broke away from Gnome so is a different ball game! Til all is worked out figured would throw a little help in for those that are using it. So is up for download at http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ ... ent=161437. Not doing as well as thought, but guess is a little different for people to take on there! Since I dumped black and white text in all mine themes minus on the desktop(black) seems is a hard thing for people to take! Most are so used to the same old same old!!!! Ultimate is very innovative, but I do not think they would ever consider putting one of my themes in a distro, considering the text bit. Can not say I blame them as for many people change is just to hard! Most like staying the same way forever! You'll see on Gnome-Look there are many themes that have lasted 2 or 3 years and keep going! Same old, just update. Even some that you can not see any difference from the theme that came in the distro! I wanted something with pizzazz not some dreary theme, that is why I go through all this trouble. I still see there are people who download my themes so they feel likewise. I just never seem to come near breaking 300 downloads on one theme so far!!!! Very happy you like it and will not stop, I enjoy it too much and still have much further to go to learn about making them better!!!!
