Ultimate Edition Usplash question

Ultimate Edition Usplash question

Postby jmos » Sun Mar 23, 2008 4:56 am

Hello, I have been using Ultimate Edition 1.7 for about a week now and all I can say is "WOW". I love the look and feel of this distribution compared to the normal, ugly brown Ubuntu. I love the boot up screen but it is red and I would like to change it to something that is blue so it will match the gtk theme I created by modifying the smoked glass theme found on gnomelook.

I have tried switching usplash themes the startupmanager. Upon reboot, the red and black dragon splash is still displayed. Does this mean that Ultimate Edition uses a different program than Usplash? Any help would be appreciated.

That was so easy I can not believe it. I created a usplash and a matching gdm theme in just a couple of minutes. TheeMahn truly deserves his username. Thanks so much.
