2 Screens Different wallpaper on each screen? (Solved?)

Hey all, not sure if this is correct place to post this but seems the closest.

anyway i have 2 screens on my rig and would like to use a different wallpaper on each screen
i've not had a dual screen setup since my windows(booo and hisssss) XP gaming days where this was possible.

can i do this on Ultimate Edition? if so how?

Open C C S M, To configure the Wallpaper plugin, add images to the list of backgrounds. They will be assigned to workspaces in the order they are listed.
Before you can use it, you'll have to configure Nautilus to not draw the desktop. press Alt+F2 type gconf-editor and uncheck the setting in/apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop. This will make all of your desktop icons disappear, and there is no solution to this drawback at this time. how ever you can still access your desktop folder through your nautilus home folder !

Thanks for the Quick reply, i'll try that and see if i can deal with the lack of icons on the desktop, had kde with Ultimate Edition 3.0 lite as a tester on my laptop and had it set similar ie with no icons but windows or boxes with the folders / icons, although it seemed heavy on the resources,

ok i tried this and what its gave me is image 1 stretching across the 2 screens on 1 workspace and image 2 stretching over the 2 screens on the 2nd workspace

Opps! I miss read your post, that is for different wallpaper on work spaces, as of now I think you have to create a large image and span the two monitors with one image, try this

thanks for the help, tried the script didnt work out well, so went for the lazy option and switched over to XFCE 4.8 which has the option to do exactly what i was looking for

I will mark your thread as Solved ? Sorry I could not be of more assistance, but you see, as I have it, Gnome does not cater to dual monitors for some reason, but if you have some time to play with GIMP, I am sure you will get'er'done !
JFYI "Precise" is supposed to have a duel monitor application ! BUT don't hold your breath !

yeah thats about as solved as its gonna get at the min, lol guess its all can be done for now, hopefully dual monitors in gnome will be better implemented in the future, found alot of people with similar issues out there.
