Hi lokesh_linux, welcome to the forum, the bug about the cursor is a compiz-gnome problem not communicating with one another. Try this : right click on compiz fusion icon in the panel. select window decorator and change it to gtk window decorator ;then change the cursor to your liking . Now change it back to emerald and it should be fixed.

The login screen requires the use of two scripts that you will need to place in /home/$USER/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts folder. $USER is the name of your home folder mine would be "sambo." The period at the beginning means it is hidden, so left click on Places and open your home folder and on the header you will see "view," left click on it and left click on "show hidden folders." Now you should be able to see all the folders in your home folder. Look for a folder called .gnome2 and left click on it to open it up. Next look for a folder called nautilus-scripts and left click on it. Ok I jumped the gun here because the scripts I am uploading are text format and that is not good to do on the web so I will compress them and all you have to do first is uncompress them somewhere. Now copy and paste the scripts into the folder "nautilus-scripts." Next thing we want to do is check the properties and make sure we have the only rights to execute and to write to them. On the first script called "Configure GDM" right click on the file and go to properties and check the permissions you want to activate (me personally, I only let myself have the permission to read , write ,and execute) and do the same for "Save GDM configuration." Now anytime you want to change your login right click on your desktop and go to scripts and select "Configure GDM" this will log you out and give you selections to make like in "preferences-appearance." To save your gdm selection, right click and go to scripts and select "Save GDM configuration. There you have it , you can now change your login screen.

I am a little vague on the compiz issue you have to clarify that for me. Do you mean your desktop background or the skydome or the cube caps ?

p.s. To decompress the files right click on the compressed file and select archive manager and it will decompress them for you. I cannot edit my own posts sorry only add a new one

Hi sambolinux, thanks for replying , I applied the steps what u told me regarding cursors but the result is same.
Actually m changing the cursors from ..System>preference> cursors selection.
This option is not working at all though I got the temporary solution changing it via "Customize look and feel option" but as i said its temporary, when i reboot or logout, cursors becomes default.
