OK, after downloading the plymouth.tar.gz to your download folder, double click the tar.gz and drag the folder that appears in to your open downloads folder, right click on any free space in downloads folder, go to "scripts" then "terminal here", and a terminal window will open, copy and past the sudo command below one at a time, replacing the item's in red with the name of your new Plymouth and the name of the .plymouth that is in your new Plymouth folder,after you have run the last command, wait just a bit for your terminal cursor to come back, and your done! there is two "test" in these new Plymouths, open the plymouth folder and click test (Boot).sh then run in terminal, and if all went well your new plymouth splash should appear! good luck! :D

sudo cp -R "NAME OF SPLASH"/ /lib/plymouth/themes/

sudo update-alternatives --install /lib/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /lib/plymouth/themes/"NAME OF SPLASH"/"NAME OF .PLYMOUTH" 100

sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth ( # here, choose the number of the theme you want to use then hit enter # )

sudo update-initramfs -u

just past what I have highlighted, then a window will open with a list of installed Plymouth themes! pick the one you want by its # then enter, then, sudo update-initramfs -u
