That's ok, the forum was down for a few days. Hope you're feeling better.
2.7 hasn't been released yet, Thee is working on it and wants it to be perfect.
Do you mean Open Office 4 Kids :?:
I haven't seen a Open Office Jr.
Looking forward to Ultimate Jr.

i was talking to a local educator about UEjr and after that conversation i have yet 2 more projects.
Ultimate Education and Ultimate Educator.

the Education will be basically UEjr minus the games and the Educator will be monitoring and grading software.

to tell the truth i am feeling slightly overwhelmed with all these, but are things i really want to do. I will be leaning hard on the forum gang, but if we can get this into the schools we win. also the schools will save mega bucks, and in my area of rural Kansas USA we need every penny we can save.

Curious.. Did Theemahn or any of the Ultimate Edition team ever think that when they went from UU to Ultimate Edition that there would be such a demand on their product?

If there is an area anyone wants to help with i would greatly appreciate your help

That's what happens when you have a good idea. You find out that others want it too. I don't know how I could help other than some ideas like including italc in it for that situation.

I guess you're just starting to know what all Thee deals with. ;)

Let me know when you're ready for beta testing and perhaps I can help iron out any bugs. :D

You can thank Thee for that since it was in Ultimate Edition 2.5, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it myself. ;)
You're welcome for my little part in it, if I think of anything else that may help I'll let you know.

Kids are fast learners, so it should not matter - but the few kids I know who is using Linux prefer the way Zorin make it look and feel. ;) tho I still prefer Gnome my self :D

Well you know that will be a mixed result. Some will like the familiarity of KDE due to the similarity between it and windows layout so a good compromise is kinda like the suggestion by Uffe. GnoMenu so the menu can be placed in the lower left corner and moving the notification indicator applet and firefox to the lower panel then remove the top panel.

While it might make it more complex to use 2.7 it sure does run great. If you haven't tried it yet you should. Thee really pulled a rabbit out of his hat this time with bug fixes and performance tweaks.

And they would be able to explore the various windows managers and choose for themselves. I would consider that a learning experience too. Windows always looks like windows but linux can look like anything you want it to.

Just my thoughts on it. I take it you'll use remasterysys so it will be what you make it.
