To remove the U/S/S sudo nautilus, follow the install instructions, When you get to "Screensavers" folder "Delete" your unwanted U/S/S, You have to delete all of them, It makes no sense to me that they show in preview and not "On screen"
Have you tried to let U/SS run for a min.or so as they might not show immediately, Anywho, rid them all, and reinstall just One instance of both Chrome and Gold,If in case by chance I (or you) come up with a "fix". as I would like to see U/SS Incorporated into Ultimate Edition as a "Default" Screensaver, Your help would and will be most appreciated and acknowledged !
JohnnyG when I get to the SS folder there is no delete button, right click doesn't work, I can't see anything to remove any of the Screensaver files. I will enc a shot of the screen. Am I doing something wrong, or am I in the wrong place? Hitting the delete key doesn't work either.
I think this SS should be a default add to Ultimate Edition, hope there is a fix for this!!
Ok, You have to open teminal >
sudo nautilus when you are in "nautilus" and have navigated >file system usr>share>applications>"screensavers" folder, Find the Ultimate.desktop files, right Click on them and "Delete", Then goto usr>share>"pixmaps" and delete all the Ultimate logos, open screensavers and verify there is no U/SS in the menu,
also you have ultimate.desktop in pixmaps delete that as well (any ".desktop" should not be visible in preview menu)
also If you placed the logos in the screensaver folder or Ultimate.desktop in "pixmaps") delete them as well, once you are sure you have it all cleaned up reboot open nautilus, navigate to screensavers folder (
as in above) again place the "Ultimate.desktop" "Chrome and Gold"into screensavers folder (
be sure to check permissions)then navigate to "pixmaps" and place the Chrome and Gold logos in pixmaps(
be sure to check permissions, right click>properties> permissions, and verify permissions, root -read and write, Group, root ,access files, others, root, access files); Anytime you install through "nautilus" you can uninstall the same way, if your first attempt did not take you must "uninstall" before you reinstall, or you
WILL run into conflict"s.
