How to install Ultimate Animated desktop
First install dependencies
sudo apt-get install zenity mplayer
sudo apt-get install xorg-dev build-essential libx11-dev x11proto-xext-dev libxrender-dev libxext-dev cvs -y
Install the xwinwrap.deb for your system 32 or 64 Bit
This will automatically install xwinwrap and all screensavers
open home folder click "view" click "show hidden files" >gnome2>nautilus scripts place "Ultimate Animated" in scripts folder and close log out and in, right click on desktop scripts> "Ultimate Animated"
Heavy OpenGL animations like lattice and sky tentacles and others may over take your desktop and require a reboot, (This is subject to your GPU) Works well with the lower end xscreensavers works best with movie animations, movie animations must run at 100% transparency(default)you wont have access to desktop icons, If you run screensavers, set desktop background to black (for best results)you may set transparency to 85 to 95% to have pass trough access to desktop icons. To stop Ultimate Animated, Right click on desktop>scripts>Ultimate Animated, Animation will stop, These are basic instructions, you are free to experiment!
I have included 2 movie animations, (movie animations cant be snapshot?)
copy and past (or place) the movie animation you wish to use in your home folder, not in a sub folder
more "movie"animations" can be found here.
