Need help with a pic

Need help with a pic

Postby kiwinsn » Fri Jun 20, 2008 5:02 am

I would like to use this attached pic as a desktop wallpaper, and also for a logo for a team-building exercise at work, with maybe a 3D look to it.

I am a total newbie with graphics, and am having a major problem.

Every time I try to enlarge it, the colour goes all washy and the picture is distorted.

I would like to make it richer in the red colour, and also bigger so it would look good as a wallpaper, and even a IM chat programme avatar. As an aside, but not necessary, I would like the word Phoenix in between the wings, using the attached font, Xanadu.

I know I'm asking a lot, but would appreciate any help. I have been tearing my hair out for over a week with this, and I've seen some of the wonderful stuff people on here have done, which really leaves me dumbfounded...

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Will work on it..PM me ;) This is just an ideaa..any larger would have to draw in..
Also when working with smaller and inlarging you will lose qaulity..but you can always manipulate that to your advantage..Gimp, Xara, Ink Scape, all have that ability... :)
Some time you have to use all... ;)

They are absolutely awesome, but when I set as desktop wallpaper, they are all blurry and I can't read "Phoenix".

Why is this?
