The reason I am posting this as well as the above post, I have noticed that people would like to get the most out of their computer, I wanted to post this before I have had even 1 beer First we are going to update our sources list using Trevino's sources list please note this will make your sources list huge probably 70 repos or so.
1. install the sources list:
- Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install 3v1n0-sources-list
2. Once it is installed we will have to make 1 adjustment to the list:
- Code: Select all
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
search through the list and "find" randumb remove that entire section, I also suggest you re-add my repo to the end, for the upgrade script purposes. save and close.
3. Grab the keys for each repo:
- Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update 2> /tmp/keymissing; for key in $(grep "NO_PUBKEY" /tmp/keymissing |sed "s/.*NO_PUBKEY //"); do echo -e "\nProcessing key: $key"; gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv $key && gpg --export --armor $key | sudo apt-key add -; done
4. Update:
- Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update
5. Upgrade:
- Code: Select all
sudo apt-get upgrade
Enjoy your cutting edge beryl, amarok, compiz-fusion etc.
