Another thing.... If it goofs up just boot into the lower kernel in grub.Then you can remove the problem kernel.Al tho might not be necessary when using proprietary drivers I always uninstall em before updating a kernel....just an old habit.If you find your self asking "why do I need to update ...

I would just put the mouse down,turn off the monitor,and back away slowly.Then go mow the lawn ,and forget about it for a bit. ;)
