Personally I wouldn't buy new hardware just to run a OS....especially if there's nothing wrong with the hardware.find a OS that works. ;) It doesn't have to be Ultimate Edition But that is your choice. Oh ya...make sure you give your agp all the shared mem you can. Make sure its at its fastest pipe ...

Lol...take a break man.

If your mobo got fried do you know what caused it? Usually mobo gets fried because of another piece of hardware went haywire...least that has been my experience.

What's the region on the dvd drive?

Reset the bios.

Open the bios and turn off any features that have to do with mem. shadowing/cache and such....if you have it.

The above probably won't make a dang difference but I do remember I had to do this to boot the live dvd with the new kernal.

Open firefox type:

about:config

in the addy bar.

In the filter bar type:
Code: Select all
browser.backspace_action

Double-click on the item in the list and change the value to 0.

You should be able to set all actions to the keys you want.
